First of all, this is all just opinion. I believe that human nature is to take charge and make things newer and better to the perspective of the doer and be remembered for what they did. I believe that people want to make changes to what exists even if it means destroying what currently exists. Human nature is wanting to make advances. Leaving a legacy is a part of human nature.
I believe this to be true about human nature from observing what we learn in history class about old civilizations. When civilizations eventually fall and people repeat the same basic process with few things different. People want to overthrow other kingdoms and create a new one in their own image. They want to take something and make it better. It may be for personal reasons, moral reason, or other reasons, but always better for the doer.
