Right now I am reading A Connecticut Yankee In King Author's Court by Mark Twain. The overall plot of the book is about a 19th century man who travels back in time to mid-evil Europe to the kingdom of King Author. Using his knowledge he advances the kingdom in many ways, including philosophy, and technology. He goes on adventures and using his more modern intelligence he is able to outsmart his troubles.
I have enjoyed the book so far and look forward to finishing it soon. The book is very humorous and also dark in many ways which I enjoy. The way that the protagonist uses his knowledge to his advantage is very interesting to me. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes classical and humorous books.

q2 week 2 human nature
First of all, this is all just opinion. I believe that human nature is to take charge and make things newer and better to the perspective of the doer and be remembered for what they did. I believe that people want to make changes to what exists even if it means destroying what currently exists. Human nature is wanting to make advances. Leaving a legacy is a part of human nature.
I believe this to be true about human nature from observing what we learn in history class about old civilizations. When civilizations eventually fall and people repeat the same basic process with few things different. People want to overthrow other kingdoms and create a new one in their own image. They want to take something and make it better. It may be for personal reasons, moral reason, or other reasons, but always better for the doer.

q2 week 2 LOTF reading response
Right now during the Lord of The Flies I am reading the events weeks after the fire and the steps that the characters are taking to recreate a home atmosphere on the island. Dr. D explained that a common tool in this book is symbolic meanings. There are more insights on the main characters than there was in the beginning. These insights help me to understand each character more of the symbolic meaning of their characteristics.
I've tried to make connections to of symbolic meanings for some things. I may not be right but this is just my opinion. I believe that the conch represent order/civilized behavior. Order cannot exist when too much chaos is present as the book will portray. Piggy's glasses represent human progress. I also believe that the main characters represent certain basic human traits. For instance, Piggy is intelligence, but also laziness, fragility, and dependency. Jack is jealousy, anger/rage, and eager for anarchy. Simon represents spirituality, peace, and kindness. Ralph I think represents power, authority, and leadership.

Q2 weak 1 free post
The whole week that included fall break went really well for me. The Saturday of the homecoming dance I ran in one of the biggest meets in the state and won the Jr. high race. Our team placed first as well. Then on Wednesday I went to that math competition thing and placed second in algebra 1. I lost by one question. On Thursday a lot of the cross-country team met up at the LSU lakes and went to The Thirteenth Gate. It was pretty fun and a little spooky. Afterwards we all went to Buffalo Wild Wings. We ordered a serving of the hottest wings for the table and most of us had one. The wings were so hot that one of us went to the CVS next to the restaurant while we were eating to get some milk. On Friday and Saturday I went to the Walker cross-country meet. Our Jr. high team won as did our Varsity.

Free Topic Week 6
After weeks of pondering new inventions to be made, I have the mental outline for what could be the next generation in the automotive industry. The very best idea that I thought of was a car refrigerator. Imagine what your car would be like with a refrigerated console between the seats. The refrigerator function could be turned off for storage of non-consumables. When turned on, the console`s storage space would act as a mini refrigerator. It can be set to run at all times using power from the car batter (lower power but still running).
A car refrigerator would be arguably one of the most practical and useful inventions for the car consoles yet. During long car trips, having a mini fridge would eliminate half of the times someone would have to bring a lunch box or cooler with them. Even if someone is just in the car for a short amount of time, then their beverage would have a nice chill to it when they arrive at their destination. Not to mention packing some everyday (or seasonal) cold snacks, such as a nice slice of pumpkin pie.

Reading response week 6
Right now in A Connecticut Yankee In King Author`s Court by Mark Twain, the protagonist is preparing to go on a liberation quest to rescue some damsels and captured knights from three horrid, mutated brothers. He was recommended to accomplish this quest by the king as a way to establish himself as someone of true nobility. The protagonist in a way needs this quest to gain support and by time for when his challenge from a rival noble. The protagonist is thankful for this opportunity to show of what he can accomplish. There are some complications when it comes to the journey beg
The book so far has gone through great detail showing how someone with a more modern education can completely disrupt and mold society. The protagonist gained power by posing as a wizard. Because of this he was able to gain enough authority and resources to establish more fundamental properties of current society that were not implemented yet in that time period. He was able to create better school and greatly increase the amount of scholars and people better suited to advance society. The book expresses that people are capable of many things if they can understand whats around them.
